From our very first meeting the team at Ku-Ring-Gai Council have been amazingly supportive and encouraging in taking this from an idea to a reality – it feels like the whole KMC team are behind us! Thanks to the Mayor Elaine Malicki, Director Community Janice Bevan and the team who have made introductions, provided advice and guidance and generally helped us “make it happen”.
Knox Grammar School has had a close connection with our local Special Olympics program for a number of years – the KURINGGAI CHASE is about showcasing great connections in our community that allow us to achieve our mission and Knox Grammar have got behind this event from the start providing ideas, facilities and direct involvement on the organising committee. The Knox Buddies – Knox students who will undertake training prior to the event – will assist our athlete’s and schools program students during the event.

The Ku-Ring-Gai Bushfire Brigade are providing fantastic support for our event – 18 members of the brigade are volunteering their time to act as Traffic Controllers for the KURINGGAI CHASE. Ku-Ging-Gai Bushfire Brigade is a community based Fire Service operating within the Hornsby Kuring-Gai District, Region East of the NSW Rural Fire Service.
